Today I was mildly productive, despite still not being able to breathe. I went to the aboretum…twice. It wasn’t too crowded, I was pleased. In fact, Sephora could have stood to be more crowded. The sales people were so overly cheerful. And yes, I was finding everything okay. Grumble! I found Josh a present or two, got Sarah her present and got Josh’s mom a nice gift. Hopefully she’ll like it. Anyway, tomorrow I think I’m going to go to Target, my sunglasses broke, I was most upset. They were old though, I’m always surprised how long a $15 pair of sunglasses will last. I need to get christmas cards and some other things too…and if I’m going to go through with my creative gift plan for Josh I need to get some supplies. One can’t make a gift of onions and coal look beautiful without some very clever crafting…perhaps even decoupage.
Thanksgiving was survived, although it was not the best thanksgiving ever, having to leave so early really made me upset. Especially to think that my bosses were both on vacation and poor Sarah and I were stuck in the office. Although luckily she was able to get out early to spend time with her family…I of course stayed and worked on some job applications. I knew that I didn’t really have anything better to do this weekend. Mike and I went out to dinner on Friday and I ate way too much food…it was truly ridiculous…but it was good. Josh and I never go to Italian food restaurants since he has a thing against tomato sauce.
So the rest of the week should be pretty uneventful, although hopefully it will be more fun than last week. One can only hope!

Contrary to the new Coca-Cola tv commercial, and many other Christmas and winter decorations, penguins and polar bears are not friends, in fact they’ve probably never met.
Polar bears live on the north pole where they enjoy eating seals and being white. They are the largest land carnivore, did you know that?
Penguins live all over the south pole where they enjoy waddleing, eating fish and avoiding sea lions. Penguins have another very special distinction of being the official kathrynocity.com mascot.
You see, it’s very simple…penguins and polar bears can simply not be friends. Perhaps they met each other during a field trip to sea world or something, but they would not be dancing together and drinking coca-cola. Although they do enjoy snuggling together in my bed at night time…but that is a very different issue all together.
