Happy New Year to everyone! I can’t believe it’s 2006 already. It honestly just seems like I was going to 2000 parties, of course I would have been a junior in high school at the time. This year has gone by so fast, but mostly because I spent a good portion of it wishing I was done with my 6 month internship…six months is half of a year afterall. 2006 will hopefully be a great year, my goals are to buy a new computer, a new bed and hopefully move to the other side of I35…perhaps even with a buddy…hint.
I don’t know what my plans are for this evening, I’m meeting with Ashley and Elizabeth this afternoon and hopefully we’ll decide what we want to do. Josh is being a poop about the whole thing. He says no matter what we do it will be a lose lose situation. That was mean. So I told him if he wants to do something with his other “hardcore” friends then he can. He only called me once this whole week while he was in Cincinnati. That did not make me happy, especially since he specifically said that he’d call me. Grumble.
Anyway, the week with the entire family was pretty good. There was so much loudness though, it was unbelievable. Alex is pretty cute though, he just needs to work on a few basic concepts like eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom and not yelling in public. And oh yeah, I think he hates me forever because I ate some of his fruitsnacks. Well, you have to learn the hard way I guess.

Well, the Christmas celebrations, parts one and two, are now complete. We ended up staying in Denton for one extra night, then Sarah and Alex cam back to Katy with us, which was a surprise…at least to me. What was supposed to be a quiet week at home has now turned into a very loud experience. I’ll probably end up doing most of the things I needed to do this week by myself, since you really can’t shop for a cocktail dress or go to the sales at dillards with a two year old. Oh well.
I talked to Josh last night, he seems to be having a pretty good time in Cincinnati. His dad is thinking about buying a rare Corvette. I think it’s called a V06 and there are only 7 of this particular model. How fun is that? Apparently it has never been rained on and is in absolutely perfect condition…like that car in Ferris Bueller.
In other news I have signed on to do some temp work at Lawrence Meck Accoutants, it’s not the ideal job for me…at least I don’t think so, but at least I’ll be making some money and will have some flexibility while I look for other jobs. And I am assuming that having done some clerical work will help me while I’m trying to get a job in case management oh well, we’ll see.
Hopefully with in the next few months I’ll be able to find something a little more in the area of what I want to be doing, or I might really love this job. We’ll see. I don’t want to think about it right now, it gives me a headache.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that Santa brings you all that you want this year. I will be celebrating (aka eating) with my parents tomorrow, then we make the pilgrimage to Denton on christmas day to visit the holy child….err…my nephew Alex. Josh and I exchanged our presents tonight, just to make sure that we would have time…and he got me a Game Boy Advanced SP. It’s pretty sharp looking, the graphics on it have improved a lot since the original. I have Mario Brothers 3 to play on it, which was may favorite game. There’s supposed to be a Madagascar Penguins game that’s good, and the HPGOF game looked pretty neat too. I’d also like to try to locate some of my old favorites from back in theday…when I was what…six?
Josh seemed to like his present pretty well, it was a new strategy for me. I got him a dinner out some place fancy…at a restaurant of his choosing…a very sexy blue button up shirt, a very romantical candle and some absolutely adorable pj bottoms with scottie dogs wearing antlers on them! How cute is that!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Santa brings you all the presents you want.
