Today

So life has been in forward motion lately, besides that one large step backwards, and it’s going pretty well. It’s February tomorrow…I can’t believe it! That will mean officially one month since I started working at Meck and Company. So I was having a conversation with Cory, the guy from Cartridge World about our careers. Cory is in much the same position I am in…he went to Purdue, got a degree in marketing and sales, decided to move to Austin, and now he’s working as the delivery guy for Cartridge World. He was loooking at jobs in the same place I was and he didn’t get much further. Anyway, we both agree that having your first job means that it’s easier to get your second…and hopefully better job. So anyway, it was nice to talk to Cory, I’m sure that he will be successful, he’s a really nice guy…and very tall.

Also, I have eaten a significant amount (okay…all) of the Lindt chocolate candies with white filling my mother gave me for valentine’s day, and I would like some more. they are delicious. Also, I ordered a new purse in the mail, which will hopefully be coming soon….the one my mom got me is…finished. Other than that it’s just the usual. Just working and a lot of sleeping. Andy and Angela are coming to town this weekend, and I voted on Angela’s behalf that she should get a dog. I think everyone should have a dog. That’s mostly because I will probably never get one…oh well.

Movie Review

Last night I went with my parents and Josh to the Alamo Drafthouse to see the Matador, starring Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. It was an enjoyable movie. Pierce Brosnan did a great job acting, and it was refreshing to see him deliver something other than the one-liners he spoke all the way through the James Bond movies. The movie was funny, at times touching and was not a completely obvious plot. It kept you engaged without beeing too suspensful. The character development was great, as you were drawn to both Brosnan’s and Kinnear’s story lines. I would recommend this movie as an entertaining Sunday matinee or a good date movie.

tried and failed

Well, I guess my plan failed. After consulting with everyone I know about what was going to be a sure thing I got shot down almost immediately. Not even a , “well, I’ll think about it.” not even really a reason why not. just no. and it really hurts.
