Technical Difficulties

My computer at home is non-functional at the moment, and will be for the remainder of the week. I might not be able to fill you in on the exciting and action packed details of my life for a while, but you probably won’t be missing much.

A Delightful Weekend

This weekend was very nice. Probably the best weekend since our anniversary spectacular. Friday night was fajita night with a nice helping of some Sopranos before bedtime. That show is so addicting, I’m glad I get to watch them all in a row instead of having to wait for the next week’s episode.

Saturday I had a lot of fun. I got my hair cut in the morning, then went and got a much needed massage. The massage was great, but I got a deep pressure massage and I’m still sore today. I think most of those knots have been worked out, but I got a little tensed up during a not so pleasant phone conversation this afternoon and a muscle literally popped in my neck. It hurt, to say the least. After my massage, I had a delicious sumo roll at my favorite little restaurant Banzai and followed that up with a shopping trip to Francesca’s. I bought a really sexy pencil skirt and two tops. I’m just so tired of old navy and gap clothes, I want something different. And for the quality you can’t beat Francesca’s. I regret not buying a dress I tried on…maybe next weekend.

Saturday night Josh took me bowling at this fancy bowling alley called 300. It was really nice inside. It’s kind of like Jillian’s but I would say better for bowling. The food was really good, they have a full bar and I bowled pretty well (with bumpers of course). Sunday was relaxing, Josh went rowing and I went to yoga. After a brief nap I went to HEB then got everythign ready for our picnic. We heard the Austin Symphony play an outdoor concert in a park downtown. It was really quite lovely. It was a really pleasant evening out, and despite josh having a bad experience with his sandwich, I thought it was the epitome of the perfect evening. It really was sweet…I have a really nice boyfriend.

Today it was back to work. I feel like I didn’t get much done, but Larry and I seem to be planning a lot of logistical things lately and discussing new interview candidates and this whole computer fiasco is making my shoulders tense up again. This week will go by fast I’m sure…and I”m debating taking off next friday. No one else will be at work, why should I? Well, it’s time for bed, my poor little bones are all yoga-ed out. Namaste!

FriYay!

Well it’s Friday, almost the end of the work week, and I’m looking forward to this weekend. Tonight is fajita night, full of guacamolito sauce. Delicious. Tomorrow morning I am getting my haircut and getting a well deserved massage. It should be good. I might even treat myself to some starbucks in the morning. I also have to stop at walgreens and check on Ashley’s apartment. It should be good. Josh is supposed to be planning a date night for Saturday, so I’ll be interested to see what he comes up with. However, since I am now being called a Brain Drainer, I’m not sure exactly what this date will entail. Sunday we’re supposed to go have a picnic and go to a symphony concert in the park. That should be nice. This week I’ve still been just as tired as last week, but I think maybe this weekend I’ll get an opportunity to catch up. I don’t have a lot to do this weekend, just the normal grocery shopping and things like that, so hopefully it will be relaxing. I’m really hoping Larry lets us go to four days a week pretty soon. It seems like for the past…three weeks or so, I’ve been the only one actually working all five days always. I guess that makes sense though, as I didn’t work overtime during tax season (I just wasn’t allowed to) so I have no problem working here by myself. It’s quiet and I get to listen to my ipod. I’m ready for my fajitas!
